Hi everyone,
Salam and hi welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I go by the name Elsa. I'm a Malaysian Muslim who moved to Hong Kong for work over eight years ago to re-built a whole life here. I believe in living simply, finding joy in the small things, and not taking life too seriously — because honestly, what's the point if you can't laugh at yourself a little? I love travelling and a good food. So, you'll find me exploring halal food spots across HK and China as well as everywhere I travel to, putting together travel guides that actually work for Muslim women, and sharing honest thoughts on lifestyle, skincare, and the things nobody tells you about living far from home. I learnt lil bit later in life that you have to choose yourself and live for yourself. Silent the noise around you especially if there are not the one paying for your bills. At the end of the day, everyone is selfish and only have want things that benefit themselves. I hope especially for woman, you take care of yourself, have money on your own and surrounded by people who loves you and support you. If you have no one, Im here.

On the lighter note, I'm a fan of Disney and anime, in case you needed to know that about me. Oh, dont forget about CDrama. Im a expert ninge-watcher of it haha

This space is part travel diary, part life advice, part best friend chat. Come in, stay a while — I'm really glad you're here.

How CoffeeCupCloset got started

Coffeecupcloset started back in 2007 that I made for fun during university — a place to capture moments as they happened, share my love for makeup, fashion, and the places I was discovering, and just document life the way it felt in real time. I wish I still had that original blog. But even though those early posts are gone, the feeling behind them never left. That same desire to share honestly, capture the in-between moments, and connect over the things we love — that's still exactly what this space is. Just a few years wiser and with a lot more passport stamps.

"Every trip you take is quietly building the person you're becoming. Travel doesn't just show you the world — it shows you yourself."
